San Antonio River Walk for St. Patrick’s Day Parade, other celebrations March 17-18
Visit San Antonio will partner with The Harp and Shamrock Society of Texas to host various free St. Patrick’s Day activities.
To kick off the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the San Antonio River Walk will turn green on March 17.
The death is sponsored by MadDogs and from 1-3pm 25 gallons of eco-friendly green dye will transform the River Walk into the River Shannon.
This activity is also scheduled for March 18 from 11am to noon at Museums Reach and 1pm to 3pm downtown.
Live entertainment and the Bud Light St. Patrick’s Festival will be held March 17 and 18 at La Villita Historic Village.
The festival will feature family-friendly activities, live entertainment, vendors and more. The 17th March activities will run from 3pm to 8pm and the 18th March activities will run from 1pm to 6pm
The final event of the evening will be the Bud Light St. Patrick’s River Parade, which will have a procession of 12 Irish themed floats filled with Irish entertainment.
Guests can view the parade from anywhere along the parade route, and two parades will be held on March 18.
The first parade will be held at Museum Reach from 2-3pm and the second parade will be held downtown from 5-6pm
